Drew Brees is the New All Time Passing Record Holder

Needing 201 yards to surpass Peyton Manning as the all-time passing leader, Drew Brees did it in style. Breesus achieved 228 yards passing with a 62 yard touchdown pass to Tre’Quan Smith seen below.

Following the play as seen above there was a brief stop as Brees had a moment with his family and Saints owner Gayle Benson. The touchdown ball, Tre’Quan’s first in the NFL, was given to David Baker, the President of the Pro Football Hall of Fame. Tre’Quan can go visit his first touchdown ball in Canton, or he can settle with his second touchdown ball.

Brees surpassed Manning’s record in less games than Manning, surpassing Manning in his 253rd game. It took Manning 266 games across his career to get 71,740 yards.
Manning congratulated Drew in his own special way.

Brett Favre was surpassed by Drew earlier in the second quarter on a 6 yard pass to Alvin Kamara. He also sent his brief regards.
