The New York Jets will face the Redskins at FedEx Field after the two teams went hammer and toe all week during three joint practices throughout the week.

Todd Bowles’ men come off a 17-0 shutout of the Falcons last week and with the QB being the story of many people, here are three things to look out for from the Green and White’s Thursday Night Football game.

1: O-Line Depth & Production

With injury to both LT Ben Ijalana, who was placed on IR yesterday, as well as reports RG Brian Winters will miss the preseason with a niggle, it places great emphasis on the Jets backups such as LT Ben Braden, LG Alex Bulducci and RT Antonio Garcia who are all battling for that last O Line swingman roster spot.

With Jeremy Bates and Rick Dennison’s zone line it will be super important to keep whoever is clean behind the centre.

2: New Jack City treads safety

The secondary of the Jets is one which goes without saying is the spark plug of the Jet’s locker room and with some fantastic TE’s from the Skins, Jamal Adams and Marcus Maye will be looking to have good first quarter production in the SS and FS positions before backups Terrance Brooks, JJ Wilcox and Doug Middleton take to the field to prove their worth.

3: Something Special with the return game

RB/PR Trenton Cannon is described as a Ferrari with lighting pace and amazing agility but that wont help him if he can not hang onto punts after having two fumbles last week. It’s a position special team coach Brant Boyer is looking to shore up and the young Virginia State rookie is the man he would love to fill the void.
