The long hibernation period between Free Agency the NFL Draft is almost over!
Tomorrow, a new wave of stars will be officially entering the NFL, and all 32 teams are ready and eager to fill their final wholes with some explosive young talent.
Below is a full First-Round Mock Draft predicting where each prospect will land, complete with a brief rationale behind each selection.

1: Cleveland Browns – Sam Darnold, QB, USC
Quick reaction: The Browns have been searching long enough for a franchise quarterback, and they will happily take Sam Darnold here who offers them an abundance of upside, along with a relatively high floor.
2: New York Giants – Bradley Chubb, EDGE, NC State
Quick reaction: Assuming that the Giants ultimately decide that Eli Manning is still their guy, they will replace Jason Pierre-Paul with arguably the best player in the draft.
3: New York Jets – Josh Rosen, QB, UCLA
Quick reaction: Josh Rosen has the best arm out of any quarterback available, and he also has the kind of swagger and confidence that will make him a perfect fit on Broadway.
4: Cleveland Browns – Saquon Barkley, RB, Penn State
Quick Reaction: Saquon Barkley is a generational talent at running back, and in the space of 20 minutes, the Browns are suddenly looking pretty damn scary.
5: Denver Broncos – Josh Allen, QB, Wyoming
Quick Reaction: The Broncos will pounce at this opportunity to land a cold-weather quarterback with tremendous upside, and with Case Keenum already entrenched as the team’s starter, Josh Allen will be able to develop at his own pace.
6: Indianapolis Colts – Quenton Nelson, OG, Notre Dame
Quick reaction: Quenton Nelson has been dubbed by many as potential Hall of Famer at the guard position, and he will instantly provide a massive upgrade to the Colts’ offensive line.
7: Tampa Bay Buccaneers – Derwin James, DB, FSU
Quick reaction: The Buccaneers will add this Florida State product who will provide a tremendous physical presence in the defensive backfield.
8: Chicago Bears – Minkah Fitzpatrick, DB, Alabama
Quick reaction: The Bears need help in the secondary, and by adding Fitzpatrick, they get themselves an extremely versatile weapon with a tremendous football IQ.
9: San Francisco 49ers – Calvin Ridley, WR, Alabama
Quick reaction: The 49ers need weapons for Jimmy Garoppolo, and Calvin Ridley possesses a lethal combination of size, speed, quickness, and rout-running savvy that makes him a potential game-changer at the wide receiver spot.
10: Oakland Raiders, Roquan Smith, LB, Georgia
Quick reaction: The Raiders have a massive need at inside linebacker, and Roquan Smith is a heat-seeking missile who will hold down the position for the next 10 years.
11: Miami Dolphins – Baker Mayfield, QB, Oklahoma State
Quick reaction: One of the top quarterbacks is going to fall if the Giants do not take one of them, and Miami cannot believe their luck when last year’s Heisman Trophy winner lands right in their lap.
12: Buffalo Bills, Denzel Ward, Ohio State
Quick reaction: Assuming that the Bills do not move up for a quarterback, they will ultimately go best player available here and take Denzel Ward.
13: Washington Redskins – Vita Vea, DL, Washington
Quick reaction: The Redskins’ defence could use some talent and toughness up front, and by adding Vita Vea, their front line just got 340lbs scarier.
14: Green Bay Packers – Tremaine Edmunds, LB, Virginia Tech
Quick reaction: Green Bay need a running back, and they could opt to reach for Derrius Guice here, however, they will ultimately decide that the potential of Tremaine Edmunds is too enticing to pass up.
15: Arizona Cardinals – Lamar Jackson, QB, Louisville
Quick reaction: Lamar Jackson was a Cardinal in college, and he will be exactly that once again in the pros.
16: Baltimore Ravens – D.J. Moore, WR, Maryland
Quick reaction: Courtland Sutton could certainly be in play here for the Ravens, however, they will ultimately take D.J. Moore who went to college at Maryland, and who is NFL analyst Mike Mayock’s top ranked wide receiver.
17: Los Angeles Chargers – Mike McGlinchey, OT, Notre Dame
Quick reaction: Russell Okung and Joe Barksdale are not exactly the league’s most sturdy tackle duo, and by taking Mike McGlinchey, the Chargers are quickly able to provide a massive boost to their offensive line.
18: Seattle Seahawks – Josh Jackson, DB, Iowa
Quick reaction: Josh Jackson led the NCAA in interception this past season, and with Richard Sherman now in San Francisco, the Seahawks will be ecstatic to add his immediate successor.
- Dallas Cowboys – Courtland Sutton, WR, SMU
Quick reaction: As a big, tough, jump ball specialist who could stand to improve his separation skills, the Cowboys fill there need at wide receiver with Courtland Sutton whose game largely resembles that of Dez Bryant.
20: Detroit Lions – Marcus Davenport, EDGE, UTSA
Quick reaction: This would be Derrius Guice’s last chance to land in the first round, and whilst he would certainly be an excellent pick here at number 20, the Lions simply just cannot pass on Marcus Davenport if he is still available.
21: Cincinnati Bengals – Rashaan Evans, LB, Alabama
Quick reaction: Rashaan Evans provides Cincinnati with the speed they need at linebacker, and in all seriousness, how long can this team deal with Vontaze Burfict?
22: Buffalo Bills – Kolton Miller, OT, UCLA
Quick reaction: With Cordie Glenn gone, adding arguably the draft’s most talented tackle is a no brainer here for the Bills.
23: New England Patriots – Harold Landry, EDGE, Boston College
Bradley Chubb is the draft’s most complete pass rusher, however, Harold Landry is the quickest, and the Patriots will be thrilled to keep Vic Beasley 2.0 in Boston.
24: Carolina Panthers – Will Hernandez, OG, UTEP
Quick reaction: Having just lost Andrew Norwell in free agency, the Panthers will opt to fill their void at guard with the draft’s strongest man.
25: Tennessee Titans – Da’Ron Payne, DL, Alabama
Quick reaction: The Titans barely missed out on adding Ndamukong Suh this offseason, so they will happily take Da’Ron Payne who is compared to Suh by NFL.com.
26: Atlanta Falcons – Maurice Hurst, DL, Michigan
Quick reaction: Maurice Hurst is facing some serious questions surrounding his health and lack of elite size, however, he is a tremendous athlete from the defensive tackle spot, and Atlanta would be insane to pass him up if he is good to go.
27: New Orleans Saints – Hayden Hurst, TE, South Carolina
Quick reaction: Coby Fleener is not producing, so the Saints will bring in another athletic tight end who will.
28: Pittsburgh Steelers – Taven Bryan, DL, Florida
Quick reaction: The Steelers are a championship calibre team with very few needs, so they will bank on upside and select Taven Bryan.
29: Jacksonville Jaguars – Christian Kirk, WR, Texas A&M
Quick reaction: The Jaguars need wide receivers, and Christian Kirk is a carbon copy of Sterling Sheppard who will provide Blake Bortles with a dependable mid-range target.
30: Minnesota Vikings – Isaiah Oliver, DB, Colorado
Quick reaction: He may need time to polish his skills, but a potential paring of Rhodes and Oliver would simply be unfair for opposing offenses.
31: New England Patriots – Jaire Alexander, DB, Louisville
Quick reaction: After adding a lethal a pass rusher at 23, the Patriots will now add Jaire Alexander who is a nickel cornerback with arguably the best coverage skills in the draft.
32: Philadelphia Eagles – Leighton Vander Esch, LB, Boise State
Quick reaction: Leighton Vander Esch is an excellent football player, and the Super Bowl champions will say “thank you very much” wh
