NFL training camps are just around the corner and that means it’s time to take your hard earn money and gamble it away.

I will be running a weekly article during the NFL season and playoffs picking every game against the spread, but before we get there we are going to through the team win totals Two Divisions at a time.

My picks are based partly on research, partly on gut feel and mainly on the fact I watch entirely too much football every week.

For each team I will be giving an Under, Over or Pass and a few thoughts on why.

Baltimore Ravens (9.5) UNDER

The Ravens have had one season over .500 in the past 4. A team with a WR core Jeremy Maclin, Mike  Wallace and Breshard Perriman doesn’t fill me with confidence and don’t get me started on the RB situation.  I struggle seeing them make it to 8 wins let alone 10.

Cincinnati Bengals  (8.5) OVER

The addition of John Ross and Joe Mixon to an offense that already has Eifert and A.J Green is scary.  They also return basically their entire Defense which was Top 10 in points against last year.

Pittsburgh Steelers (10.5) PASS

Antonio Brown, Martavis Bryant and Le’Veon Bell i can’t even fathom how many points they will score this year also this team has finished 11-5, 10-6 and 11-5 the last year years, so why do i pass? Landry Jones that’s why.  Winning double digits is hard, winning 11 games with a QB whose injury history is longer than the Patriots cheating history is harder.

Cleveland Browns (4.5) UNDER

1-15 to 5-11?? Don’t see it happening!! While I am high on the direction the Browns are taking I can’t see them getting to 5 wins. Also at the pointy end of the season the temptation to start tanking for a high pick will probably rob them of a chance to sneak in a few wins.

Minnesota Vikings (8.5 Wins) OVER

This team went 8-8 last year with a QB who joined the team days before the Season started. They have improved their O-Line adding Riley Reiff and Mike Remmers and also added Dalvin Cook who is on my fantasy team so he must be good!! The Defense which was #3 in Total Yards and #6 in Points against is set to be Strong again

Detroit Lions (7.5) UNDER

This line opened at 8 when the win totals came out in June. Some smart people(including me) took the under very quickly.  While I like Stafford and think he will continue to improve I hate the Lions RB situation and outside of Ziggy Ansah and Rookie Jarrad Davis the Defence is downright scary but not in a good way.

Green Bay Packers (10.5) OVER

2013 was the last time Green Bay didn’t win 10 games coincidently Aaron Rodgers only appeared in 9 games that year. They addressed there 2 biggest issues adding Kevin King to the secondary and Jamaal Williams to back up the surprising Ty Montgomery. They also added Martellus Bennet to Jordy Nelson, Randall Cobb and Davante Adams. Personally i see 13-14 wins so 11 should be easy as long as Rodgers stays healthy.

Chicago Bears (5.5) UNDER

Mike Glennon.. NO! Trubisky.. NO! A defense that was 24th in Points against.. NO! Alshon Jeffrey? GONE! John Fox? Soon to be GONE!   If this team makes 3 wins I will be surprised. On a positive not for Bears fans Jordan Howard is good.

Good Luck!
